Using this month as inspiration, we’ll center our attention on the trees and their all out surrender to the new season. Freeing ourselves from summer’s glory, knowing the dark and cold months will be ahead, we’ll take cues from nature on how to nourish what is deeper than the external so we may begin to nourish our roots.

Yoga Therapy for Healthy Metabolism

Yoga Therapy for Healthy Metabolism

Winter is often a time of increased sedentary habits and accumulation. Spring, an opportunity to stoke a diminished digestive fire, lightening the mind and body for a bright season ahead. Classes include an emailed, take-home practice intended to be done daily to receive the full benefit of these target sessions.

The fresh start we need to emerge from this freezing season starts with a brightening of the winter-weathered mind and a boost to the metabolic system - that which governs digestion, detoxification, hormone levels, weight, temperature and energy levels.

While everyone else is ramping up cardio and fad diets, try something ancient and novel, by today's standards. Yoga's contribution to improved metabolism takes an entirely different, sustainable, progressive approach - one we'll introduce to you for this inspiring late winter/early spring reset.

Laghunyasa Mantra - Winter Vedic Chant

Laghunyasa Mantra - Winter Vedic Chant

A new Vedic chanting group begins in December. A main cause of illness, according to Yoga and Ayurveda, is a disconnection from nature and from our own nature. The two go hand-in-hand, and Laghunyāsa is one of the most relatable, powerful Vedic mantras to fortify our bond. Chanting it is a powerful remedy for our disconnect.
